I’m almost surprised that this theme still works, despite being written from the ground up for another version of Wordpress.
Of course, I expected the physical structure to stay the same. But the fact that it’s not making calls to deprecated functions is, I believe, a perfect example of why one should always stick to the standards when designing a site. No weird hacks to make the layout work in IE. No weird hacks to make Wordpress bend to my will.
Now with more Wordpress 2!
My blog is so fucking boring.
It seems like everyone out there who plays video games has something to say about this, especially bloggers and webcomics.
So, let me just add my own two cents to the fray…
My own feelings about this are mixed. I can see the obvious penis and urine jokes, but surely Wii must not be some mildly obscene euphemism in every language. I can understand Nintendo’s intent, the need for a simple name that will easily cross boundaries of nationality and language.
And on the other hand… there’s the pee-pee and wee-wee jokes.
I can see it now… a few months from now, two kids are walking down the street, talking…
“You wanna go play on my Wii?”
And an old woman faints.
I liked Revolution better. =\
